Mission Statement

The Kewanee Athletics provide opportunities for all players exhibiting the skills, attitude, and desire to play competitive baseball and to promote the growth of baseball skills for all levels of competition for Kewanee and the surrounding communities.

The development of sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, good character, courage, respect for authority, and physical fitness are the organization’s priorities. In order to accomplish this mission, we seek to attain the following objectives:

• To accelerate player development through player commitment, instruction, practice, preparation, teamwork and discipline
• To instill in our players to work toward excellence, not perfection
• To prepare our travel players to be successful at a higher level
• To maintain the integrity, character, and commitment of our travel program
• To remember that baseball is a fun and challenging game that requires players to develop the ability to overcome mistakes and to look forward to their next opportunity
